The Networking page of the Career Tools for the Working MBA website has numerous resources and practical how-to information on all aspects of networking, from on-line networking avenues to tips and strategies for creating relationships and broadening your own network.
The UCLA Anderson alumni directory is your most valuable online resource. It can help you find classmates and
other alumni that interest you – by location, company, industry, job function and more. This resource is also known
as the online alumni database.
Use the filtering tools to refine your search. There are over a dozen criteria that you can use – including the person’s name, class year, degree program, location, company name and more. After you log on, a quick study
of the search form will help you get the most out of the directory.
To be most effective, remember to keep your own profile in the directory up to date. Check the currency of your contact information in the directory.
The directory is a secure database -- only members of the UCLA Anderson community may access it. The usage agreement and privacy notice can be found on the opening page when you log into the directory.
Subscribing to alumni e-mail lists is a great way to get updates, gather information, and network with fellow alumni. The Alumni Office maintains over 30 listservs for alumni that are based on geographic location, industry and function specialty, and special interest.

Through an agreement with LinkedIn, the popular online business networking company, an exclusive group for UCLA Anderson alumni has been established. Any Anderson alumnus/a can join the group but must choose to do so by accessing the LinkedIn site.
If you have not fully utilized our alumni database, we recommend that you start there. However, many alumni are looking for even more powerful tools to strengthen their business network. LinkedIn provides this kind of advanced functionality.

The UCLA directory is a great resource for locating the contact information for faculty, staff and students at the entire university, including UCLA Anderson. You can also search by department and other criteria. This same resource allows you to search the directory of any UC campus, not just UCLA.
