What Can You Expect From a Career Coach?

Our career coaches are able to assist you in managing your career, determine your next steps and help you develop a strategy to reach your goals.  Our career coaches will not make career decisions for you, provide psychological counseling or find you a job.

Please Note:  Career coaches are not contractors or employees of UCLA Anderson.  Be aware that UCLA Anderson does not control the manner of performance or the result of their services.

Available Services

Service 2:   Up to one hour of CareerLeader self-assessment interpretation by a professional career coach following completion of the CareerLeader online assessment (does NOT include payment for CareerLeader assessment, although CareerLeader offers the assessment at a discount to UCLA Anderson alums).

Service 3:   Up to one hour of resume review and critiquing time by a professional career coach.  Receive personalized constructive feedback and advice (via phone and/or e-mail) for enhancing and tailoring resume to the target job(s).

Service 5:   Career coaching in-person or by phone.

How to Access This Service

To access this service, please e-mail Patricia Palleschi, Associate Director of Alumni Career Services at the Parker CMC, and state the service you would like. Patricia will then follow up with you to discuss your needs and make a referral.  She will then contact your career coach, who will connect with you. * Please do not contact career coaches directly, as Patricia must confirm with the career coach that you are a UCLA Anderson alumni.

Prior to your first session with your career coach, you are required to fill out the below registration form.  Your career coach will collect this form along with your payment. The best method of payment will be confirmed by your career coach.

Career Coaching Fees

We are please to be able to offer UCLA Anderson alumni these services at a discounted rate. Typical private career coaches and outplacement firms charge between $125 and $200 per hour. Our career coaches offer the above services at rates ranging between $80 and $140 per hour. For more information on individual career coach rates, please contact Patricia Palleschi.

*IMPORTANT NOTE:  Bear in mind that, in addition to direct contact with the career coach, any advance resume or assessment review, e-mail correspondence, feedback and/or follow-up is also considered part of the hourly session rate.  For example, for Service 2, a one-hour CareerLeader (or other assessment) interpretation session would typically involve a 15-minute review of your completed assessment by the career coach, and up to 45 minutes of assessment discussion/interpretation with you.  For Service 3, the hour of service for resume review/critique includes not only actual meeting time with the career coach, but also any resume review time, e-mail exchange, etc.

What If I Want to Extend My Coaching Service?

Career coach rates for the above services are discounted rates for UCLA Anderson alumni. Rates for any additional sessions to those initially paid for will be at either the career coach’s regular hourly rate or a rate that is mutually agreed upon by you and the career coach.

Once your coaching service has been completed, you will be asked to evaluate your coaching experience and will be e-mailed an evaluation form. Your feedback is essential in order to maintain a consistently high standard of service to you, so it is very important that you complete and return the evaluation to us!
